About Us
The Red River Valley Estate Planning Council was formed as a nonprofit corporation for the following objectives:
- To provide a better understanding of the services which accountants, attorneys, development officers, life underwriters, life insurance professionals, trust officers, financial planners, and others involved in estate planning can render to the general public.
- To increase the public's awareness of the facilities and services available to aid individuals in the management, planning, and settlement of their estates.
- To promote cooperation between each of the planning groups and to foster a better understanding of the proper relationship which each group bears to the other, to their clients, and to the general public.
- To provide its members with a better understanding of estate planning through presentation of lectures and other programs.
Our membership is comprised of professionals who practice in the following areas:
- Accounting
- Appraisal/Valuation
- Charitable Giving
- Estate Planning
- Financial Planning
- Insurance
- Legal
- Tax
Annual dues for the 2024-2025 membership are $440 and run from October through September of each year. Dues for first-time new members for this year are $275 (this is a one-time discount). Dues include payment of meals for all meetings, annual social gatherings as determined by the Board, as well as other membership benefits such as NAEPC membership and access to professional publications & webinars at a discount or at no charge.
